PDF to Excel
Turn the tables in a PDF into an editable spreadsheet — bank statements, invoices, reports — and export .xlsx or .csv. Converted on your device, never uploaded.
Your data never leaves your computer. Every big competitor uploads your PDF to their servers to convert it — the worst place for a bank statement. DiemDesk reads the page layout with the same in-browser engine as our other tools, so nothing is uploaded, stored, or seen by anyone but you.
0 bytes of your file have left this device. Counted live in this tab, not claimed — open your browser’s Network tab and watch.

Where this won’t help
Cases we’re the wrong tool for, and what to use instead.
A scanned table. There is no text layer to read positions from. Run OCR first. OCR a PDF →
Borderless, irregular tables. Columns are inferred from spacing, so odd layouts need a fix in the grid before export.
How it works
- 1
Drop a PDF with tables in — it opens on your device and the layout is read in your browser, never uploaded.
- 2
We rebuild each table into an editable grid. Check the columns and fix any cell right there.
- 3
Export to Excel (.xlsx) or CSV — one sheet per table or combined into one.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Unlike Smallpdf, iLovePDF or Adobe, DiemDesk reads the page layout entirely in your browser — the file never leaves your device. That matters most for the #1 use: bank and card statements.
What formats can I export?
Excel (.xlsx) or CSV. For multi-page documents you can put each table on its own sheet or combine them into one, and choose whether the first row is a header.
How accurate is it?
For digital PDFs with real text it rebuilds columns from the page layout and is very good. Complex, merged or right-aligned tables can need a tweak — every cell is editable before you export, so you always get it exactly right.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
A photo-only scan has no text to read. Run it through OCR first to add a text layer, then convert it here. (Automatic OCR + AI cleanup for messy tables are on the way for Pro.)
Is there a limit or watermark?
No watermark, no daily cap, no signup. Basic on-device conversion is free — that’s our privacy calling card. Pro will add batch conversion and AI cleanup for the trickiest tables.

PDF → Excel, free and on-device
Extract tables from statements, invoices and reports into a real .xlsx or CSV — detected, highlighted on the page, and editable before export. Runs entirely in your browser; the big names upload your file to their servers for this.
